This policy explains what data the GapEdge mobile app and website collect, why, and your choices.
1. Who we are
GapEdge is operated by Giinger Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at gpanot@giinger.com.
2. Data we collect
GapEdge does not require an account. You do not give us your name, password, phone number or contacts, and we do not collect your precise location.

| Purchases | Subscription product, status, renewal date and the purchase token issued by Apple or Google. We never see your card or bank details. |

3. How we use your data
- To provide the service — send gap alerts, show signals and your journal, and unlock paid features. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To improve GapEdge — understand which features are used, fix crashes and measure performance. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To communicate with you — send the weekly recap if you subscribed, and service notices. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal obligations — keep purchase records and respond to lawful requests.
4. AI features
GapEdge uses AI models. When you use the in-app assistant, your messages and relevant market context are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. We store chat transcripts to provide conversation history and to improve the assistant.
Gap explanations are generated by AI from market data only. AI output can be wrong and is never financial advice.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data while you use GapEdge and for a reasonable period after, unless the law requires us to keep it longer, for example purchase records. Analytics providers keep event data according to their own retention settings. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Singapore PDPA and California law), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent.
- Turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- Unsubscribe from the weekly recap using the link in any email.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account.
- To access or delete your data, email gpanot@giinger.com. We may ask for details that help us find the data linked to your device.
We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. This website
This website does not use advertising cookies or trackers. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, to keep the site secure and running. The gap data shown here is market data and contains no personal information.
10. Children
GapEdge is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we will delete their data.
11. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
